Revelation 5:5-7, "And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne."

JESUS FOUND WORTHY
At this time before the seals were opened, Jesus had ascended on high to be with the Father. He in turn sent the Holy Spirit to be the Comforter to those on the earth. Jesus alone was found worthy to open the scroll and to break its seals.
Jesus was standing between the throne and the four living creatures and was metaphorically described as "… a Lamb standing as though it had been slain". Since there were no others found, other than Jesus, who could perform the task of opening the scroll and breaking its seals, this would imply that the scroll must belong to the Lamb alone. There is only one scroll, or book mentioned in the Bible as being the sole property of the Lamb. That would be the Lamb's book of life. This leads me to believe that the scroll with the seven seals is the Lamb's book of life! It belongs to Jesus and contains all of the names of those people who come to Jesus and accept Him as the sacrifice Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
Those found in the Lamb's book of life at the time of the great tribulation (Dan.12: 1) will be delivered out of the great tribulation (Rev 7:14, the great multitude in long white robes.) Except for the 144,000 Jews who receive the seal of God, which is the Holy Spirit (II Cor.1: 22, Eph 1:13). These 144,000 will be immune from the trumpet judgements and will remain on the earth as a witness for Christ for the first 3 1/2 years of the great tribulation (Rev. 7: 3-8).
Names will be added to the Lamb's book of life through the end of the millennium. Books will be opened at the end of the millennium as well as the Lamb's book of life and the dead will be judged according to their works (Rev. 20:12). Anyone not found in the Lamb's book of life will be hurled into the lake of fire (Rev. 20:15).
