Revelation 4:1, "After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter."

THE THINGS WHICH MUST BE HEREAFTER
The third division that John is ordered to write about is "The things, which shall be hereafter." These things include the vision of the Emerald Throne, the opening of the seven seals during the church age, The great tribulation, which includes the blowing of the seven trumpet warnings, and the pouring out of the plagues upon the earth, as well as all of their parenthetical passages. It also includes what John saw concerning the millennium, and the new heavens and earth.
